Play, discover, pass on... Traditional Flemish Games... a lively, fun experience

All you have to do is lend an ear: a laugh, a puck slides, a bell tinkles. .. You’re in the land of Flanders, where traditions never really sleep.

The Traditional Flemish Games are wooden boards with a patina of age, gestures handed down from generation to generation, and above all… moments of simple happiness to enjoy together.

Born in estaminets, farmyards and village festivals, these games have always brought together young and old, friends and strangers alike, around the essential values ofconviviality, sharing, skill and good humour.

Here, there’s no need for screens or complicated rules: we play from the heart, we laugh heartily, we challenge each other without taking ourselves too seriously.

Whether you’re with family or friends, or out and about in the region, let yourself be surprised by the wealth of wooden games on offer.

From the famous Jeu de la Grenouille to Billard Nicolas, from Trou Madame to Sjoelbak, each has its own charm, its own story, its own little challenge. What they all have in common is their ability to create links, spark laughter and bring generations together.

Today more than ever, these games are being revived in pubs, cultural events and tourist attractions.
They’re not just there to look pretty: they’re meant to be played, shared and loved.

So open the door… and join in the fun!

Traditional Flemish GamesA few rules...
Le CulbutoReady to hit the bull's eye? We're off!

Each player swings their 8 wooden balls onto the storage square. Holding the game by the base, they try to make the balls fall into the holes.
But be careful, if the balls end up at the top, it’s zero points and no replay!
And all the balls are played at the same time, just to spice up the game!
