The Maison des Archers is a showcase for the history of vertical-pole archery. Spread over 3 levels, the exhibition features numerous documents and objects tracing the history of this ancestral sport typical of Flanders (French and Belgian) and Artois.
But what is it? Armed with bow and arrow, the archer has to knock down "birds" (small cylinders adorned with feathers) hanging from a grid at the top of a vertical mast (the pole) 30 meters high.
Come and meet the giant "Dédé l'Archer" who awaits you for the pleasure of young and old alike!
