Situated on the heights of Watten, at an altitude of 72 meters, the remains of the 17th-century fortified enclosure still encircle the 15th-century abbey tower and the mill known as "la Montagne".
This listed site is open on certain days and on the 2nd weekend of August for the Abbey Festival (admission 4.00?/adult).
The mill bastion is freely accessible to the public all year round, and offers superb panoramic views over the maritime plain and the Audomarois region.
The other bastions are not open to the public, but are visible from the outside. Signposting and educational panels along the Sentier de la Montagne (linking the fortification to the town) help visitors understand the history of the site and landscape.
