  • Exhibitions, fairs, festivals and culture
  • Exhibition / Fair / Open Day
Espace Culturel Jean-Michel DEVYNCK, Place Alphonse Bergerot, 59470 Esquelbecq

Description

The alphabet has always been depicted in various forms—in cross-stitch, patchwork, embroidery, and more—because it has always held a fascination. You’ll discover these various forms alongside numerous works from the past and present, from here and abroad, brought together by individuals, collectors, and booksellers. At the same time, throughout the duration of the exhibition, we will feature a textile labyrinth conceived and created by Maud Louvrier-Clerc, a French transdisciplinary artist. This immersive installation, composed of a set of mobile kakemonos, allows visitors to read words related to textiles. The artist will be present on Saturday, July 4, for a cultural discussion of the installation. Hours: - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 4 - Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free
