Description
André Poortvliet is passionate about Baroque music and enjoys sharing it with audiences through concerts on the harpsichord, clavichord, and historic organs, as well as with the Consort of Voices ensemble. He studied with Leen de Broekert and took master classes on the interpretation of Baroque music with, among others, Pierre Hantaé,
Christophe Rousset, Bob van Asperen, Marieke Spaans, Harald Vogel, Francesco Cera, and Léon Berben, among others. André is the titular organist of the De Rijckere organ at the Oostkerk in Middelburg; he is also the founder of the De Rijckere-orgel 1776 Foundation. His program is themed “Echoes of Spain and the Netherlands” and includes compositions by Antonio
de Cabezón, John Bull, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Jean De Macque, and Francisco Correa de Arauxo.
