This museum recounts the adventure of a few friends who one day had the admittedly rather far-fetched idea of planting a few vines and making wine in the land of beer! The 1st vintage looked more like vinegar, but that didn't discourage them, and other companions joined the band of friends. Each brought his or her own skills and expertise to the table, through contacts such as a Vouvray winemaker, Honorary Citizen of the Town of Hondschoote since 2009, who advised them on planting, pruning and winemaking. It was time to find a name for this cheerful, friendly team. This is how the association "Les Tastewijn" (wine tasters) was born, also known as the "Confrérie des Compagnons du Vin de Flandres". Thanks to generous donors, they were able to create the Musée des Vendanges in the cellars of the Hôtel de Ville in Hondschoote.5/person visit and tasting by prior arrangement.
