Bergues cheese Character with a gentle touch

In the heart of Flanders, between wet meadows and living traditions, Bergues cheese has been part of the landscape for centuries. Once made on farms and in abbeys, it was a cheese for keeping, born of the need to preserve milk, but also of the know-how of the men and women of the North.

Today, it is still made in the same way as it was in the past: with raw milk, a hand-washed rind and a slow maturing process that reveals all its richness. Its supple texture, clean smell and distinctive flavour tell a simple story: the story of the land, of well-fed animals, and of a way of doing things that doesn’t cheat.

It’s the name of a registered trademark, created at the Haezepoël farm and based on ewe’s milk.

Homemade products: ice creams, yoghurts, pasteurised milk and soaps.

Know-how, an old barn refurbished with passion, and the impetus of Sébastien, who dreamt of creating tasty, healthy products accessible to all, young and old.
And that’s how “Bêl’ici” was born – the taste of good, good sheep’s milk!
